1) About:-

                 The Department of Economics has been a major section of Arts faculty in the Vishwasrao Naik Arts, Commerce & Baba Naik Science Mahavidyalaya, Shirala. The Department of Economics was established in 1970. Right from the beginning senior and reputed teachers are associated with the department.


SALIENT FEATURES OF THE DEPARTMENT: -

Department has good strength of students in the college. The Department organizes Industrial visits, Workshops, Guest lectures, Seminars, Trade-fair, Quiz Competition, Exhibition and various competitions for all round development of the students Economics Rangoli Competition was first started by this department in Vishwasrao Naik Arts, Commerce & Baba Naik Science Mahavidyalaya, Shirala. B.A- Economics is a three year degree programme which blends economic theory with its empirical application in a balanced way to enhance understanding of economic policies at the national and international level. The programme focuses on Micro Economics, Macro Economics, Public finance, Co- Operation and International Trade, Banking and Finance.
