1) About:-
Year of Establishment: June 1970
History is an inspirable part of human life. History Department is one of the influential departments in our college. History subject is being taught in our college since the inception of the college in 1970. From the beginning History department has been motivating its students to study in innovative and different ways.
Vision:
Promote historical research attitude among the students so as to make them successful historians and prominent professionals.
Mission:
To provide expertise in history to student and leading them to research, Employability and competitive examination.
- Create historical, social & economic awareness among the students.
- To develop scientific & research attitude. To develop ethical human value among the students.
- Applying various historical methods and theories in local history.
- Pursue research in history for better understanding.
- Applying the innovative study techniques in the study of history, to make it value based and thought provocative.
- To increase the interest among students for local history.
Best Practices:
Students are given projects on local history so basic research is done on local History. To promote a multidisciplinary approach, a certificate course entitled ‘Modi Script’ is introduced in the Department of History.

- Celebration Kranti Din 9th Aug., Shivjayanti 19th Feb., Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti 14th April. Savitribai Phule Jayanti 3rd Jan., Late Vasantrao Naik (Baba) Jayanti 8th Oct., Shaujayanti 26th June etc.
- Organized departmental “Study Tours” etc.
