  • Department of Physics started from 1999 in Vishwasrao Naik Arts, Commerce & Baba Naik Science Mahavidyalaya Shirala Dist. Sangli.
  • Physics is one of the most fundamental scientific disciplines, and its main goal is to understand how the universe behaves.
  • Various undergraduate course such as B.Sc-I & B.Sc-II runs under the department.
  • This department has well equipped spacious laboratories.
  • There is departmental library enriched with books as well as provided online video lectures.
  • Frequent departmental meets were organized for upgradation of performance of all classes, as well extra and co-curricular activities awareness amongst students through department.
  • Regarding Astronomy; the department organizes State level Seminar and night sky observation programmes.
  • Department organizes various students-oriented activities such as poster presentations, seminar, workshops, webinar, field visit, essay writing, blended learning activity for overall development of students.
  • Moreover, department conducts continuous internal assessment such as home assignments, unit tests, practice tests, internal examination, mid-term examinations, oral exam etc. for academic progression of students.
